Purple Line Limited, manufacturer of market leading leisure vehicle accessories and the OPUS multi-award winning inflatable camper hosted local and royal dignitaries for the presentation of their King’s Award for Enterprise trophy. 

The presentation was attended by the Mayor for Ipswich along with Clare, Countess of Euston The Lord Lieutenant for Suffolk – joined by the entire Purple Line team for a morning of celebration. The Lord Lieutenant presented Jonathan Harrison, Managing Director of Purple Line with the coveted crystal trophy on Friday 13^th October 2023. Presenting the award on behalf of His Majesty the King, The Countess of Euston praised the company saying that ‘Purple Line is one of Suffolk’s most successful international businesses’, with export performance of the OPUS Camper to be ‘simply amazing’. On presentation of the crystal trophy, Mr Harrison said that it was ‘a great honour and privilege’ to receive the award and highlighted the ‘dedication and hard work from everybody involved over a sustained period of years’.

Purple Line was awarded in the International Trade category – highlighting how the business has sustained impressive growth in both Europe and worldwide over the past 5 years and has ambitious plans for further expansion. The crystal trophy presented is handmade by Cumbria Crystal, and the crackle effect is achieved through the process of the crystal being dipped in cold water during the manufacturing process. This effect means that no two trophies are the same, symbolising the variety and individualism of the organisations that win the award. 

After the presentation the Lord Lieutenant, the Mayor and their associates were accompanied by members of the Purple Line team to visit their on-site export warehouse for leisure vehicle accessories and brand-new manufacturing facilities for OPUS. The latter gained particular interest from the distinguished guests, where they were able to get hands on with the range of OPUS Campers in production and converse with the assembly team.

Purple Line is set for continued growth, with sales of the Quattro Caravan Movers and the OPUS inflatable camper leading the way globally. Purple Line also houses other market leading brands including Fullstop Security and Kojack Lifting and Levelling. Purple Line Limited is one of only 148 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in 2023.

Bursting from the dirt, like the undead from their graves, comes this year’s harvest – our signature orange security products have been drinking in the last of the summer sun and soaking up the monsoon rains of Suffolk, and are now ready for the picking!
